Lemon balm has a nice delicate lemon scent and flovor. It is a valued cosmetic and medicinal herb. You can use fresh lemon balm to garnish drinks & salads, use as a tea, potpourri, use in soap making infuse in bath oils, sugar scrubs, salt scrubs & bath teas. Lemon balm is a medicinal herb- known as a mild sedative, helps to reduce fever, and increases perspiration. The oil contains citral, citronellal, eugenol acetate and geraniol. Both oil and hot water extracts of the leaves have been shown to possess strong antibacterial and antiviral qualities.
